Obedience is the right start when
Your dog is friendly and confident but untrained — pulling, jumping, ignoring recall, counter surfing, general chaos. The dog is emotionally fine; it just has no rules.
Behavior modification is the right start when
There is an emotional driver: fear, anxiety, aggression, guarding, reactivity or panic. Drilling more sits will not change how a dog feels about a stranger walking toward it.
How our sessions are structured
Behavior modification runs 60 minutes per session — $250 for one, $1,150 for five — because assessment, a management plan and coaching the household take longer than an obedience lesson. Obedience work then layers on once the dog can think in the presence of its trigger.
