Food and routine
Send the food your dog already eats, pre-portioned if you can. A sudden diet change on top of a new environment is the usual cause of an upset stomach. Tell us about the routine — how your dog eats, sleeps, potties and behaves around other dogs.
Comfort and crate
A dog who is already comfortable in a crate settles far faster. If crate time is new, start it a few weeks before the stay. Send one familiar item; leave valuables and destructible bedding home.
The drop-off itself
Keep the goodbye short and matter-of-fact. Long emotional departures raise the dog's stress, not lower it.
